We Love Cake’s journey began in 2002 when second-generation family business owner, Michael Bell, tried to live as a coeliac for a week. Unsatisfied with anything he ate, not least the free from cakes he reluctantly attempted, by day two of the week-log trial he decided to build a dedicated Gluten, wheat, and milk free bakery.
Bells of Lazonby’s flagship brand ‘We Love Cake’ has launched the first Vegan Cherry Bakewell Tart into the wholesale and foodservice market. The classic British favourites are individually wrapped and produced in a dedicated gluten, wheat and milk free bakery on the edge of the Lake District. The same version is also available in a mini format: sold in a bulk box of 36 perfect for afternoon tea and mass catering.
Made on the edge of the Lake District by renowned family bakers, ‘We Love Cake’s’ delicious Cherry Bakewell Tarts are baked in small batches and promise to taste-match household favourites without compromising on vegan dietary needs.
