Chipotle opens outside London

Chipotle Mexican Grill recently opened its first restaurant outside of greater London. The new store is in White Lion Walk Shopping Centre, which is situated in the heart of Guildford town centre. 

It is the third venue the Mexican fast-casual chain has opened this year, following Westfield White City Shopping Centre in June and Twickenham in April. There are now 16 UK Chipotle stores in total.

“Given the rising popularity of Chipotle across nearby London, our expansion in the UK remains a top priority for our international strategy,” said Jacob Sumner, director of European operations. “This new location will increase the Guildford community’s access to real, fresh food.”

Guests visiting the new location can order in-restaurant or place their orders via the Chipotle app for mobile pick-up. They can also place a delivery order through a third-party delivery service like Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.
